Peacemaking & A Dog Attack

My worst nightmare took place a few days ago and I realized it was an opportunity to dig deeper into a work-around behavior I use: Peacemaker.

Quick spoiler alert - both my dog and the other other dog involved are absolutely fine. While we were all shaken by the incident, we know that nothing happens without a reason. And as I sit with what transpired, I can see all the ways I use Peacemaker as a means to not fully ask for what I need. I can also see that it has the potential to be a superpower, if used appropriately.

An exploration is underway. One that I will be writing about as it continues to unfold. You can find the full story of how it started on my Substack. There, you can also sign up to receive updates in your email inbox as well as the link to download my free ebook “See Yourself As Animals See You: A Guide to Trusting Your Animals.”

I hope you’ll follow along and even share your experience of how your pet helps you continue to grow and expand.
